I architect backend systems that handle millions of records, design cloud infrastructure that holds up under pressure, and occasionally ship a full-stack AI product in a weekend.

About

Backend engineer with 2+ years of industry experience across high-scale systems, cloud-native infrastructure, and AI-driven automation. Currently pursuing a Master's in Software Engineering Systems (GPA 3.7) at Northeastern University, expected May 2026.

At LabCorp, I built a Spring Batch pipeline processing 70M+ records/day and an AI automation service using AWS Lambda and Amazon Bedrock that deflected ~40% of routine support emails. Before that, at ThoughtWorks, I shipped 25+ production features on microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and gRPC — reducing incident detection time by 40% and improving release speed by 30% through Kubernetes and TDD practices (90%+ coverage).

I'm most at home designing distributed systems, cloud infrastructure on AWS, and high-throughput data pipelines — but I also enjoy building end-to-end products, as my hackathon and side projects show.

Outside of engineering, I read a lot of non-fiction, hike when Boston's weather cooperates, and I'm always up for a conversation about distributed systems, developer productivity, or impactful tech.

Experience
Labcorp · Boston, MA
May 2025 – Aug 2025
Software Engineering Intern · Backend Developer
  • Built a fault-tolerant data reconciliation pipeline using Java and Spring Batch, processing 70M+ records/day from Amazon S3, querying OpenSearch APIs to detect missing order IDs with retry logic and resilient exception handling.
  • Contributed to an AWS-managed order processing platform with Java and Spring Boot, supporting high-volume laboratory workflows with clean code practices and comprehensive unit and integration tests.
  • Developed an AI-driven automation service using Node.js, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and Amazon Bedrock (LLMs), classifying queries and deflecting ~40% of routine support emails.
  • Implemented monitoring and alerting with CloudWatch health checks and custom metrics for system performance tracking, data accuracy, and reduced MTTD.
Thoughtworks · Bengaluru, India
Sep 2022 – Aug 2024
Consultant · Java Application Developer
  • Engineered high-availability microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and gRPC, designing scalable distributed systems with service discovery, API gateway patterns, and reliable inter-service communication.
  • Delivered 25+ production features end-to-end, collaborating with cross-functional teams on architecture decisions, code reviews, and performance tuning.
  • Built observability stack with Grafana and Prometheus, reducing incident detection time by 40% across production services.
  • Containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes via CI/CD pipelines, improving release speed by 30%. Practiced TDD achieving 90%+ code coverage with JUnit and Mockito.
MAQ Software · Hyderabad, India
Sep 2021 – Aug 2022
Associate Software Engineer · Data Engineer
  • Built end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake Storage, and SQL Server — implementing ingestion, transformation, and scheduled workflow orchestration for large-scale processing.
  • Optimized cluster performance by migrating to job clusters and applying data partitioning, Z-order indexing, and memory tuning, achieving 50% faster execution and reduced infrastructure costs.
Beyond Code

I believe great engineers don't just write code — they lift others up along the way.

🎓
Teaching Assistant
Northeastern University
Jan 2026 – Present

TA for Enterprise Software Design (CSYE 6220) and Web Development Tools & Methods (INFO 6250) — running lab sessions, office hours, and helping students navigate system design, debugging, and backend architecture. Watching someone go from confused to confident on a tricky Spring Boot problem is one of the most rewarding parts of my week.

💻
LeetCode Operations Lead
Husky Systers Code · Northeastern
2025 – Present

Design and lead weekly DSA problem-solving sessions for students in tech at Northeastern. It's not just about solving problems — it's about creating a space where people feel comfortable saying 'I don't get this yet' and then working through it together.

Hackathon Builder
Frontiers: Gen-AI Hackathon
Mar 2026

Love the energy of building something from zero under time pressure. Most recently shipped DreamChaserAI end-to-end in ~9 hours — an AI platform helping international students navigate grad admissions, complete with backend API, vector search, and PDF export.
